The General English Course is for any non-native speaker who wants to get better at English. It doesn’t matter what level you are, or whether you have a little time or a lot – this course is suitable for everyone.

You can choose to study in the morning, afternoon or evening, full-time or part-time. It’s all about finding the balance that suits you best.

We believe in adapting our approach to the specific needs of our students. It all starts with a simple test to understand your current English level. This way, we can create a learning plan for you. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, our approach is designed to help you succeed.

Language learning is different in different countries, so some things in class may feel strange or unusual, different from what you did before.

Don’t feel scared or upset; if you don’t agree with something happening in class, talk to your teacher and share your thoughts and feelings.

The methods and materials we use are based on research and experience.

What we doWhy we do it like this
The teacher will not be giving you lectures about new grammar and vocabulary. You will be doing activities that will help you discover grammar rules and meanings of words yourself. It will make you an independent learner, so you will be able to notice patterns and learn new language from reading and listening on your own, without the help of a teacher. This approach will help you remember the new language better.
You will be checking answers to exercises in pairs and groups. When you were at school, you were probably feeling stressed when the teacher asked you a difficult question which you didn’t know an answer to. Maybe you were criticised when you asked your classmates for help.

The aim of our courses is not to test you, but to help you learn. Modern education is based on collaborative learning: working with other students gives you support and confidence.

You will be speaking a lot in class and working with other students. We learn language to communicate so we need to learn by doing it. You can’t learn to swim or ride a bike without actually trying it.

About 80% of conversations in English happen between non-native English speakers. Working with other students will help you better understand different accents and communicate more effectively outside the classroom.

The teacher will not be correcting every mistake you make. The teacher may not correct you immediately.Effective communication is not just about correct grammar; it is about making yourself understood. If your mistakes stop another person from understanding you, that is when your teacher will help you correct them.

So, don’t be afraid to make mistakes; just keep trying, and you will get there.

You will be asked about what you like, dislike, or want to do in class.Every person is unique. You have a lot of learning experience (not only English, but other subjects too) and you already know what works or doesn’t work for you. To make your learning more effective, share your feedback with the teacher.
You will need to be patient and respectful to other students. You will be learning together with people from all over the world. They may have habits, opinions and beliefs which are different from yours. They may also have an accent that you will find a bit difficult to understand at first. Remember to be kind and patient with them and help them learn.

Your course is designed not just to give you knowledge of English, but to help you to use it. This means that you may need to study the same point several times to be able to use it.

Your course will be highly communicative and you will have to speak a lot in class.
